CHICAGO: Consulting firm Navigant has selected Edelman as AOR in the US following a review.

Edelman started working with the Chicago-based company in April. Navigant previously worked with GolinHarris on PR. A Golin representative declined to comment.

Jennifer Marshall, senior manager of communications at Navigant, confirmed Edelman won the company's business but declined to disclose the account's budget or the other agencies that participated in the review.

Edelman is responsible for developing a thought leadership strategy for Navigant in sectors including energy, healthcare, financial services, and disputes and investigations. Navigant's target audience is corporate decision makers at the VP- or C-suite-level, Marshall said.

“We want to get our thought leadership out there and have that resonate with clients,” she added.

Edelman will lead the account from its Chicago office, but other branches such as New York will also work on the business, Marshall said.

“Navigant is focused on continuing to strengthen its global brand and demonstrating its significant expertise on issues that are shaping the world – particularly those in the financial services, energy, and healthcare sectors,” Kevin Cook, MD of corporate affairs in Edelman's Chicago office, said in a statement.

With more than 2,000 employees globally, Navigant provides consulting services in industries such as construction, energy, finance, healthcare, and government. The firm reported $844 million in revenue last year.
