NEW YORK: Behrman Communications has promoted EVP Megan Driscoll to president. The firm will rebrand as Behrman & Driscoll Communications.

Nancy Behrman, who served as president and CEO since founding the firm in 1985, will continue in her role as chief executive. The agency will rebrand over the next few months, Driscoll said.

She started in the position last week. Driscoll is helping to run the agency and focusing on business development, duties she had begun to assume in recent years, she said. Driscoll will stay involved with client service, she added.

“[Behrman] has worked pretty hard, and she's ready to share the load,” Driscoll said.

The firm is considering expanding to cities outside New York and bringing on additional capabilities, Driscoll said.

“This year, the focus is on making sure we have the right staff in place, in terms of current and new hires,” she added.

Prior to joining Behrman in 2010, Driscoll was VP at Emanate. She previously worked at Lippe Taylor for three years.

With about 30 New York-based employees, Behrman specializes in beauty, health, and lifestyle. It has worked with clients such as Kiehl's Since 1851 before its sale to L'Oreal in 2001 and Burt's Bees before its sale to an investment group in 2003. Current clients include Clarisonic, Tria Beauty, and Valeant Pharmaceuticals.
