LONDON: Recruitment firm Hays has switched its financial PR to Bell Pottinger Pelham following a competitive review.
The UK-headquartered firm has moved its London PR account from Maitland in a pitch understood to have included most of the UK's key financial PR agencies.
It is also understood that the wider Bell Pottinger Group will provide additional PR services to Hays, though Pelham will lead the account.
The win is one of four clients picked up by Pelham after a competitive pitch in the past month.
The agency has also won mining firm African Barrick Gold, previously held by RLM Finsbury, and student accommodation manager Unite Group, formerly a client of FTI Consulting. It also retained listed office-space firm Workspace.
“These wins are a testament to the team and their determination to provide clients with cerebral, but also creative, advice,” said Gavin Davis, MD at Bell Pottinger Pelham. “They also highlight our ability to draw upon the skills of the broader Bell Pottinger Group and provide clients with joined-up advice including corporate, digital, and public affairs. This momentum puts us in a very strong place for the rest of the year.”
Davis took over day-to-day control of Pelham from founder James Henderson in March to allow Henderson to concentrate on group-level management of Bell Pottinger Private.
