NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller's global brand and consumer marketing practice chair and creative director, Lisa Travatello, has left the agency.
The WPP Group firm confirmed Travatello's departure, but declined to give further details on her exit. Burson is not looking for a replacement for her at the moment.
Travatello could not be immediately reached for comment.
Before joining Burson in May 2011, Travatello served as EVP and curator of creativity at Current Lifestyle Marketing. Prior to that, she was EVP of consumer marketing and CCO at fellow Interpublic Group firm Weber Shandwick for nearly eight years.
Travatello also spent five years at Porter Novelli, serving as SVP and director of business development and creativity, and had stints at Edelman and Ogilvy Public Relations.
Earlier this month, Burson appointed Alan Sexton, former EVP of communications at Global Strategy Group, to serve as its New York market leader. He succeeded Tony Telloni, who left the firm in June to join GolinHarris as MD of its New York office.
In July, Burson hired Thomas Gensemer, managing partner and CEO at fellow WPP Group firm Blue State Digital, to serve as US chief strategy officer. He replaced Donald Baer, who was named CEO last summer when former global chief executive Mark Penn left to join Microsoft as corporate VP for strategic and special projects.
Two months after Baer stepped into the CEO role, he named Patrick Przybyski to a dual role as COO and CFO of the agency.
The firm also named Steve Lombardo, formerly the global CEO of DJE Holdings unit StrategyOne, as chair of its combined US public affairs and crisis practice in April.
