Heinz's Smyth to move to McGraw-Hill

NEW YORK: McGraw-Hill has hired Ted Smyth as its new EVP for corporate affairs, overseeing the corporation’s marketing, communications, government affairs, and community relations. He will also be executive assistant to the chairman, president, and CEO. The hire is effective February 16. He succeeds David Stafford, who will move to McGraw-Hill’s legal department as VP and associate general counsel. Smyth was most recently chief administrative officer and SVP of corporate and government affairs at Heinz. At Heinz, Steve Clark, chief people officer, will be promoted to the office of the chairman, while Michael Mullen will be promoted from director to VP of corporate and government affairs.
