General Electric (GE) launched "healthymagination," a business and marketing initiative, this week. The effort is a successor to GE's "ecomagination" initiative.

The goal, says BusinessWeek, is to position GE's healthcare business in the same direction of the Obama administration's goals. The "healthymagination" brand will be added to as many as 100 products, which will be offered in rural and underserved regions of the world, by 2015.

As part of the iniative, GE's MSNBC cable television network will introduce a daily health program, which will be hosted by Dr. Nancy Synderman, NBC News chief medical editor.
