Washington State Gov. Chris Gregoire approved a tax break for the state’s newspaper industry this week, giving the struggling outlets 40% off the state’s main business tax, according to The Seattle Times.

The cut, of course, comes at least a few months too late for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, which ceased its print edition in March, switching to an online-only format.
