Google hires 'LA Times' journalist who covered company

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA: Google appointed Chris Gaither, a former Los Angeles Times assistant business editor, senior manager in its corporate communications department, effective June 29.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA: Google appointed Chris Gaither, a former Los Angeles Times assistant business editor, senior manager in its corporate communications department, effective June 29. He will focus on Google News and Book Search, according to a company spokesperson, who confirmed an earlier report on PRNewser.

Gaither, who covered the search company for the Los Angeles Times, is also a former employee of The New York Times and Boston Globe.
