Havas shareholders renew terms for CEO

PARIS: Havas shareholders renewed the terms of office for the holding company's CEO, Fernando Rodés Vilà, at the annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday.

PARIS: Havas shareholders renewed the terms of office for the holding company's CEO, Fernando Rodés Vilà, at the annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday.

It also reported that its cash situation is "satisfactory" since the beginning of 2009, with the average net debt decreasing by 56% compared to last year. Havas is parent company to Euro RSCG Worldwide, Abernathy MacGregor, and Cake, among other firms.

In addition to approving Vilà's terms for three years, shareholders also appointed Véronique Morali, former director and CEO of Fimalac, a new independent director.
