LOS ANGELES: Weber Shandwick launched a new digital production and communications service called Social Studio on June 16. Part of Weber Shandwick's Digital Communications division, Social Studio will be led by EVP of digital strategy and operations Chris Perry and will provide services including content creation, social video syndication, and new media relations. The agency created videos and similar projects for clients including StandUp2Cancer, American Airlines, and GM.

"Weber Shandwick has executed experimental programs for the past few years using a combination of internal and third-party resources," Perry said in an e-mail to PRWeek. "We've since honed the model and built out a network of producers and strategists that make social video work core to our digital offering."
