NEW YORK: QuickNewsBits (QNB), a site that publishes and distributes "short form news releases" totaling a maximum of 160 characters in length, has launched in beta. QuickNewsBits is a subscription service that can be accessed for free by members of the media. Releases appearing on the site will also be available on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites and can be shared through Digg and other bookmarking tools. QuickNewsBits was founded by two Middleberg Communications executives: David Bray, MD, and Ed Cunning, senior AE. However, the company is not affiliated with the firm.
