GOLETA, CA: Footwear brand Teva, a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation, has issued an RFI for media relations. The RFI, due August 15, precedes a more in-depth RFP process where the company plans to invite three agencies to submit proposals for the brand's 2010 media relations services.
“Welcoming an agency into the brand is fantastic, and it's just in time for all the exciting things happening here at Teva,” Jaime Eschette, a PR exec at Teva told PRWeek in an e-mail. “We're all looking forward to the new partnership and hope to get a bigger awareness of agencies that are available.”
The RFI solicits agency stories on success in the use of social media, ongoing client positioning, a product or campaign launch, and market expansion.
Finalists will be notified of their selection on August 28, 2009, and will have three weeks to prepare a written proposal due September 18. The company plans to view RFP presentations October 2. The brand's retainer allowance is $5000 - $7,500 per month, including administrative and service expenses.
The RFI, which Teva provided to PRWeek, stipulates that the agency should be free of accounts that conflict with it, such as competitors The North Face, Timberland, and Nike.
