A few potential bidders for BusinessWeek emerged this week, according to the magazine’s own Jon Fine.

Among them is OpenGate Capital, a private equity firm that bought TV Guide magazine, without its Web site, last year for $1. The report is sure to fuel more speculation that BusinessWeek will be sold at a similar bargain basement rate.

Fine also reported that financier Bruce Wasserstein is interested in buying the magazine.

PRWeek reported today on how business magazines’ uncertain circumstances are fracturing the business media environment.
