Huntsworth said in August that it had reduced more than 20 of its global brands to four agencies. The London-based holding company now includes Huntsworth Health, Red, Citigate, and Grayling.

Tonic Life Communications, which was acquired by Huntsworth in July for about $4.8 million, will be led by Tonic founders Scott Clark, group CEO, and Oliver Parsons, group MD.

Maryellen Royle, president of Dorland Global PR, was named president of North America for Tonic. Her counterpart is the United Kingdom is Neil Flash, MD of the London office. Royle said none of the approximately 25 Dorland Global PR employees will be laid off.

“It's a growth momentum for us,” she said. “It brings us lots of new opportunities.”

Tonic is now the sole PR offering in the Huntsworth Health family and it has offices in London, Philadelphia, New York, and San Francisco. The other Huntsworth Health offerings include medical communications, brand experience, and consulting and analytics.

“It's a rollout of that larger announcement that was made,” added Royle. “We remain with a focus on healthcare.”
