Bill and Melinda Gates held a journalists roundtable and spoke with lawmakers in Washington this week to talk about global health as part of an initiative launched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in September.

Called the "Living Proof Project," it aims to educate policymakers about the role funding from the US government plays in improving health globally. The foundation is gathering stories to tell via the Web, encouraging discussion on social media channels, and it launched an advertising campaign in late September.
