NEW YORK: The Bowl Championship Series (BCS), which oversees postseason action for college football, hired Ari Fleischer Communications, which is led by the former press secretary for President George W. Bush. BCS executive director Bill Hancock announced the hiring on November 21, just days after the organization introduced Twitter and Facebook pages. The sports PR firm will help the BCS and its officials "remodel the tattered image of college football's postseason system," the Associated Press reported, and "highlight the positive aspects of the BCS." Calls and e-mails to the BCS for comment were not immediately returned.
