Perino to start firm, continue work with Burson-Marsteller

WASHINGTON: Burson-Marsteller confirmed that Dana Perino, chief issues counselor, planned to start her own firm but will continue to work with current and future clients at Burson-Marsteller.

WASHINGTON: Burson-Marsteller confirmed that Dana Perino, chief issues counselor, planned to start her own firm but will continue to work with current and future clients at Burson-Marsteller. She was hired by the firm in April 2009.

Perino, who served as White House press secretary for President George W. Bush from 2007 to 2009, said that she planned to launch the Web site for her consulting firm, which will include media and speech training, in February. She also has a contract with Fox News as a contributor and was nominated by President Barack Obama to the Broadcasting Board of Governors.
