TARRYTOWN, NY: Bayer HealthCare tapped Omnicom Group and WPP Group for its global marketing task, which includes PR, digital, consumer and professional communications.

The consolidation is effective immediately and will take place over the next two years, said Susan Yarin, director of global communications at Bayer HealthCare. It is unclear at this time what agencies will be selected for what tasks. In recent years, Bayer HealthCare has worked with Sensei Health, Fleishman-Hillard, Hill & Knowlton, MS&L, Edelman, Cohn & Wolfe, HealthStar PR, Ketchum, WeissComm Partners, and Ogilvy PR Worldwide.
