Animal shelters get a digital boost from Rachael Ray

Rachael Ray Nutrish, the TV chef's dog food line, is working with no-kill animal shelters on their digital outreach. With help from Lippe Taylor, the company launched www.MyShelterSite.com, a template that allows shelters to create a new website and integrate it with social networks like Twitter and Facebook. The sites will have minimal Rachael Ray Nutrish branding.
The idea is that the shelters will spend less time and money on digital outreach (Rachael Ray Nutrish provides free website hosting), and can use that time and money on taking care of the animals, explained Craig Alperowitz, EVP at Lippe Taylor. Additionally, having an easy-to-use website and more robust social media presence will hopefully increase adoption rates.
