Steve Roycroft, global MD of corporate services at Thomson Reuters, said the new service is geared toward IR, PR, and corporate communications professionals, as it allows them to follow regulatory requirements and monitor sentiment and impact.
"What we've created is the ability for companies to create and publish a press release or regulatory release to meet compliance as far as regulatory requirements," he explained. "They can distribute directly out to their website simultaneously as it hits all other points of distribution." This includes RSS feeds and social media.
Thomson Reuters announced the new service at the NIRI Conference in San Diego on June 7, and plans to reach out to trade media and its existing customer base to educate audiences about the new service.
The service also offers monitoring tools, including analyst coverage, insight from investors, traditional media coverage, and social media conversations and sentiment.
