Edelman hires Slaby to chair digital practice

NEW YORK: Edelman hired Michael Slaby as EVP and global practice chair of the firm's digital practice, effective June 8. He assumes the position previously held by Rick Murray, who was recently promoted to president of Edelman Chicago.

NEW YORK: Edelman hired Michael Slaby as EVP and global practice chair of the firm's digital practice, effective June 8. He assumes the position previously held by Rick Murray, who was recently promoted to president of Edelman Chicago.

Slaby was most recently chief technology strategist at venture capital firm TomorrowVentures, where he led communications and technology strategy. Prior to that, he was technology director for the Obama Presidential Transition Team, leading operational and long-term planning for technology. 

Slaby will be based in Chicago and will report to Nancy Ruscheinski, president and COO for Edelman US.
