NYT expands DealBook blog

Dealbook, the New York Times' financial news service blog, is reportedly planning a significant expansion in the near future.

DealBook, The New York Times' financial news service blog, is reportedly planning a significant expansion in the near future. According to the Wall Street Journal, NYT bosses have approved the addition of about 12 new staff, which would bring the total headcount to around 20.

The blog was founded four years ago by Andrew Ross Sorkin, the paper's chief mergers and acquisitions reporter.

DealBook was the subject of controversy in February when news emerged that one of its writers, Zachery Kouwe, had resigned following allegations of plagiarism.
