PHILADELPHIA: Devine + Powers has launched a social media practice group and appointed Jeff Gibbard as director.

PHILADELPHIA: Devine + Powers has launched a social media practice group and appointed Jeff Gibbard as director.

The new division, which launches this week, is in negotiations with several potential clients and expects to begin work in the coming weeks. Gibbard, who was previously interactive marketing specialist for management consulting firm Gap International, will direct social media strategy and build the client base for the group.

The new practice is part of an agency-wide initiative for the 10-person independent agency, which last year reported a turnover of $1.6 million.
