WASHINGTON: APCO Worldwide has launched a service for transportation clients aimed at addressing the communications challenges of infrastructure projects.

APCO Radius is headed by Wes Irvin, APCO VP and director of its transportation and infrastructure department, who explained the aim of the service is to tap into the projected $180 billion spend (CIBC) on infrastructure over the next two decades.

Irvin said: “Our goal is to give a resource to transportation projects to help move them along quickly. Many of the APCO team have worked in the transportation industry for several years and are able to anticipate the various hurdles that cause delays and often end up costing the taxpayer more.”

APCO has already worked with several transportation clients, including Cosco, United and Air Transport Association.

The new offering will include expertise in policy and issues management, funding and partnership creation and maintenance.
