WASHINGTON: The Financial Services Roundtable confirmed that it is no longer working with APCO Worldwide on an image campaign that the roundtable planned to launch this year.
Scott Talbott, SVP of government affairs for The Financial Services Roundtable, said that the trade group, which represents companies like Visa and JPMorgan Chase, is taking a different approach to the campaign and that the work with APCO ended within the last two months.
"The goal remains the same," said Talbott. "But we're going to be relying more heavily on our member companies' resources."
APCO, along with Fleishman-Hillard, Qorvis Communications, Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, and Story Partners, pitched the account. APCO was awarded the business in spring 2010.
Talbott said there is a possibility that the roundtable will hire another firm but there are no plans to do so at this time.
