Unilever taps Garrard as SVP of global comms

LONDON: CPG giant Unilever hired Sue Garrard as SVP of global communications, effective January 1.

LONDON: CPG giant Unilever hired Sue Garrard as SVP of global communications, effective January 1. She will be responsible for all of Unilever's internal and external corporate communications.

Garrard, previously the communications director for The Department for Work and Pensions in the UK, will be based in London and report to chief marketing and communications officer Keith Weed.

She replaces Tim Johns. PRWeek UK reports that he left the company in May, one month after the appointment of Weed.
