NEW YORK: Retail Investor Conferences is a new program that aims to better connect publicly-traded companies and retail investors online, launched by PR Newswire, BetterInvesting, and MUNCmedia.

The virtual conference series, starting November 4 and taking place the first week of every month, is designed to replicate the look and feel of a live investor conference, says John Viglotti, VP, IR products and analytics for PR Newswire. “We wanted to create a virtual environment that has a very different feel than, for instance, a single webcast,” Vigloti tells PRWeek.

In addition to making real-time, hour-long presentations, up to 10 new companies each month also have access to a dedicated Q&A “Virtual Trade Booth”, where investors can download investor kits, financial reports, and video presentations. Investors can also visit a community lounge, where they can chat with other investors.

The goal is to attract tens of thousands of retail investors each month, says Viglotti. “The key here is that all three partners can drive the retail investor audience.”

The Retail Investor Conferences will be promoted through PR Newswire's channels, as well through BetterInvesting's 120,000 members and MUNCmedia's more than 90 million retail investors through its network of over 200 online financial and investment publishers.
