NEW YORK: Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher retained its position as the top US PR adviser for merger and acquisition deals in the Mergermarket League of Tables of PR Advisors Q1-Q3, following third quarter results which saw the country's global share drop to 33.9% from 43% a year ago.
For the first three quarters of 2010, Joele Frank worked on 59 deals worth $99.6 billion, an increase of 18.6% versus this time last year. That was followed by Kekst and Company at $67.9 billion and Brunswick Group at $66.7 billion. Abernathy MacGregor Group topped the list in terms of volume, with 73 deals totalling $42.1 billion.
While deal count jumped by 25.4%, the size of those deals was substantially down versus a year ago. The value of US activity so far this year totals $481.9 billion, down 1.6% versus a year ago. The third quarter, which saw $150 billion in new deals, was the lowest quarter since Q3 2009.
Globally, activity reached $1,422 billion, up 25%.
