ATLANTA: The United Parcel Service has been using its blog and Twitter site, as well as its pressroom, to provide updates and field questions following reports that suspicious UPS packages from Yemen were intercepted by security officials.

Karen Cole, PR manager for UPS, said that the pressroom has been taking a lot of media calls as well as answering questions from consumers.

She said that UPS has seen very little disruption outside of the investigation and is urging consumers to track their packages.

“We're working with authorities so there is a limited amount of information we can put out there and right now we are trying to focus on the investigation,” Cole said about plans to reassure consumers going forward.
