Firm launches vlog series on US Hispanics

Miami-based Newlink America, an advertising and PR firm, has given the greenlight on a new video blog series focused on issues and trends in the US Hispanic market.

Miami-based Newlink America, an advertising and PR firm, has given the greenlight on a new video blog series focused on issues and trends in the US Hispanic market.

The series on YouTube, branded "Newlink Conversations: Dialogue, Debate and Discovery," has tapped a number of guest vloggers for US Hispanic-targeted commentary.

This week, Charles P. Garcia of Garcia Trujillo will speak about results from a recent survey on Latinos' emotional connection with companies and brands. Next week, he will comment on the 10 mistakes companies make in marketing to Hispanics. Meanwhile, Cesar Melgoza, CEO of Geoscape, will talk about why board and management of Fortune 500 companies are slow to invest in the US Hispanic market. In addition, he will share his experiences in the C-suite.

Upcoming topics to be featured include 2010 census results and the impact on marketers and consumers, as well as recent studies conducted on the Hispanic market.

Other vloggers expected are Dr. Felipe Korzenny, director of the Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication at Florida State University; Eduardo del Rivero, managing partner of Newlink America; Mark Lopez head of US Hispanic at Google; Raul Cisneros chief of media relations at the US Census Bureau; Nicolas Ibarquen, publisher of Poder Magazine; and Dr. Eduardo Gamarra from Newlink Research.
