Financial and business news powerhouse Bloomberg announced the launch of a daily TV program focused on the tech industry called “Bloomberg Best”.
Oops. Did I say “best”? I mean “Bloomberg West.” Sorry East Coasters.
The show, to be clear “Bloomberg West,” will offer in-depth stories on the tech titans, venture capital, startups, and entrepreneurs of California. In other words, the show will essentially cover Facebook, Apple, and Google. Throw Hewlett-Packard and social media in there for good measure.
But in all seriousness, such a show signifies the importance of California's tech and digital industry and entrepreneurship and its overall impact on national business and the economy. Take a look at any major news organization, whether it's broadcast or print, and technology coverage is often the most popular and robust.
When this blog mentions Facebook or Apple it often climbs atop the hit list.
The hour-long show will air weekdays at 3 pm PST (6 pm EST) on Bloomberg Television, and be hosted by Emily Chang and Cory Johnson.
