Last month, BP posted the biggest gain in consumer perception, topping brands advertised during the Super Bowl, according to YouGov BrandIndex.

The research service tallies consumer perception of more than 1,100 brands in the US, using a "buzz score," which asks respondents "If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, was it positive of negative?"

Despite the fact that BP's "buzz score" remained negative at -15.7 for February, the company led the pack of the top 10 biggest buzz improvers compared to January, moving 11.6 points up from -27.2. BP was followed by Snickers, a Super Bowl advertiser, which scored 26.9 last month, up only 5.8 points from 21.1 in January.

Others who made the list, in order, are Fox Business Network, Denny's, American Airlines, TurboTax, Save A Lot, Disney Channel, Jared, and Dodge.
