Ogilvy PR grows corporate practice, adds two SVPs

CHICAGO: Michelle Press and Drew Ferguson have been appointed to SVP roles at Ogilvy's corporate practice in Chicago.

CHICAGO: Michelle Press and Drew Ferguson have been appointed to SVP roles at Ogilvy's corporate practice in Chicago.

"We wanted to expand our corporate practice because we've been seeing significant growth and diversification of what our clients are asking for," said Nathan Friedman, MD of Ogilvy PR's Chicago office. "Roughly, 50% of the office focuses on corporate, which also includes our technology group, and what these two hires are doing is really to help augment the senior team because we've grown so much over the past year."

Press was hired to lead the b-to-b and corporate technology brands. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, having served as SVP at GolinHarris for b-to-b marketing, corporate reputation, crisis and issues management, and CSR. Press has worked with companies such as Owens Corning, Underwriters Laboratories, and The Dow Chemical Company.

Meanwhile, Ferguson will focus on C-level communications and reputations risk initiatives. He previously served as VP at Ketchum, handled issues management, financial communications, C-suite executive positioning, and investor relations. Ferguson has worked with Thornburg Mortgage, Nokia, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Mead Johnson Nutrition, and United Airlines. He's also held roles at Sard Verbinnen & Co. and The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

Friedman said the the Chicago office works with clients such as LG Electronics, CDW, and Zebra Technologies.
