SACRAMENTO, CA: Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and Activate Direct are partnering to provide a new digital public affairs offering to clients on the West Coast. Activate Direct is a technology company with a software platform developed specifically for clients in the public affairs and politics arenas.
The aim of the partnership is to help public affairs clients further their presence in the digital space by bringing them Activate Direct's technology offerings, which includes web tools and social media apps.
“Activate Direct is best in class at applying social and digital tools to advocacy public affairs and government relations,” says Michael Law, president of OgilvyWest.
According to Law, Activate Direct offers a skill set in the public affairs arena that is a good complement to Ogilvy's practice. The companies have worked together on various projects throughout the past year-and-a-half, but only recently entered into this formal partnership.
"We are optimistic that there will be a great deal of demand for this,” Law says, adding that clients have been highly receptive of the partnership thus far.
Bryan Merica, CEO of Activate Direct says that the partnership will be particularly helpful to public affairs clients looking to utilize social media and digital tools to mobilize people into action and “generate grassroots support around issues.”
