Publicis acquires Chinese healthcare comms agency

PARIS: Publicis Groupe has acquired Dreams Communication, a Chinese healthcare communications firm.

PARIS: Publicis Groupe has acquired Dreams Communication, a Chinese healthcare communications firm.

Dreams will be rolled into the Publicis Healthcare Communications Group (PHCG), and will be renamed Publicis Life Brands Dreams. Bill Sun will continue as head, and will assume the title of MD, Publicis Life Brands Dreams. In addition, Kathy Zhao was named GM.

The Chinese agency was launched in 2003 and employs nearly 50 people. It offers advertising and design, digital, medical education, and event planning services to pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, such as Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Xian-Janssen, and others.

The acquisition marks PHCG's second acquisition in the Asia Pacific region this year. The group acquired India's Watermelon in March.
