MSLGroup's Boston office hires new MD

BOSTON: MSLGroup has named Meghan Gross MD of its Boston office, effective immediately, as part of a new strategy to focus on retaining New England-based clients.

Gross is the former director of communications for business law firm Foley Hoag LLP. She is also past president of the PRSA Boston. She reports to Renee Wilson, president of the Northeast Region for MSLGroup.

“We thought it was time to reset where the office is going,” Wilson said. “Prior to now we have been very successful in Boston [servicing national and global marketers], but not with a lot of New England-based clients. We feel, as the marketplace gears up for activity, it is time to have the right leader in Boston.”

The office was previously managed by Ed Cafasso, who is no longer with MSLGroup. He is now working as a communications consultant, according to his LinkedIn page.

Gross said she hopes “to do nearly the same for MSLGroup Boston as I did for Foley Hoag, by way of reaching out to industry groups and partnering with organizations which our clients are members of.”

The office will continue to service national and global accounts. In fact, Wilson said the office aims to grow its national cause marketing specialty, which includes Kellogg's and Biogen as clients.
