AUSTIN, TX: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners has named GCI Health its AOR, after a competitive review.
“Our goal is to make nurse practitioners the healthcare provider of choice and to drive people to AANP, whether they are consumers, regulatory agencies, or the media,” said Nancy McMurrey, director of communications and member services of the Austin-based organization.
McMurrey declined to say how many agencies responded to the RFP, but said that the group had worked with some of GCI's staffers at another agency that GCI bought. McMurrey said the review was handled in-house, but would not disclose the budget for the account.
The organization represents some 140,000 nurse practitioners, most of which are based in the US, and includes 31,500 individuals and 170 group members.
