Esther Lee joins BM as new CMO

NEW YORK: Burson-Marstellar has hired Esther Lee as the firm's chief marketing and new business officer.

NEW YORK: Burson-Marstellar has hired Esther Lee as the firm's chief marketing and new business officer.

Lee is joining BM's business operations team and will report to president and CEO Mark Penn. Her duties include developing new international business ventures, working with senior executives to lead global marketing efforts, and figuring out ways to carry out novel business strategies.

She previously served as senior policy advisor for the Obama Administration and as director of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the U.S. Department of Commerce.

BM also recently hired Daisy King, former market leader of the agency's Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu offices, to lead its newly-developed US-based China specialty group.
