NEW YORK: Kaplow Communications bolstered its leadership team with the hiring of David Richeson as SVP of consumer technology and K:Drive, the firm's social and digital media practice.

Richeson reports to Liz Kaplow, the agency's president and CEO, and is based in New York. He started with the firm this week.

As demand in the social media and consumer tech spaces continues to grow, the agency brought on Richeson to take the helm in leading K:Drive. Chaim Haas, who is SVP of technology and emerging media, will shift to focus more on business, technology and thought leadership.

“David brings strength in digital marketing, social media, and business strategy along with his public relations expertise,” Kaplow said.

Prior to joining Kaplow, Richeson was SVP of global and digital PR at Porter Novelli, where he led PR and social media strategy on the Procter & Gamble Gillette account. He has also held senior communications positions at SapientNitro, Deutsche Bank and Lead Dog Digital.
