DDC Advocacy acquires BlueFront Strategies

WASHINGTON: DDC Advocacy has acquired consulting and public affairs company BlueFront Strategies.

WASHINGTON: DDC Advocacy has acquired consulting and public affairs company BlueFront Strategies. With the acquisition, the Washington DC-based firm plans to expand its use of strategic media and targeting in its issue advocacy campaigns for its existing corporate, trade association, and political client base.

"We've grown as a company where our clients are looking to run major campaigns at a national scale," said B.R. McConnon III, CEO of DDC Advocacy.

BlueFront Strategies' Alexandria, Va.-based operations will be integrated into DDC Advocacy's two
Washington DC locations. Sara Taylor Fagen, BlueFront Strategies owner and founder, will also join DDC Advocacy's board of directors. Fagen has served as White House political director under President George W. Bush and was a strategist on his 2004 re-election campaign. In addition to her political experience, Fagen is cofounder of the online advertising platform Resonate Networks.

All BlueFront Strategies employees will join DDC Advocacy, according to McConnon. "We abosorbed them all," he said. "Their skillset and background are very similar to what he have already."
