Cardoso joins Showtime as EVP, corporate comms

NEW YORK: Showtime Networks has hired Trisha Cardoso, a former Paramount executive, as EVP of corporate communications.

NEW YORK: Showtime Networks has hired Trisha Cardoso, a former Paramount executive, as EVP of corporate communications.

Cardoso will replace Richard Licata, who was named EVP of communications for NBC Entertainment in July.

Cardoso will be responsible for the TV network's programming publicity, media and talent relations, events, corporate branding, and PR. She will also serve as Showtime's chief press officer and its communications liaison with parent company CBS Corporation.

Cardoso most recently served as SVP of advertising, publicity, and promotion for the Paramount Network Television division, where she was part of the senior management team for Viacom's Paramount Television Group. Previously, she worked as VP of entertainment marketing at Burson-Marsteller.
