NEW YORK: Julia Hood will return to Haymarket Media, the parent company of PRWeek, as EVP and board member this month.

She will oversee Haymarket's PRWeek and Direct Marketing News titles. Hood currently serves as president of the Arthur W. Page Society, a professional organization for CCOs. She will rejoin Haymarket November 21.

“I've had a phenomenal experience at the Page Society. It's an extraordinary organization. The trustees, members, and staff have helped me have a unique and amazing experience. I wasn't looking to make a move, but I had missed the media world more than I expected,” she said. “When I had conversations with Haymarket, I felt a strong sense that these are great brands and a new level of challenge would be given to me with the broader role.”

Hood served as publishing director of PRWeek from March 2008 to July 2010, and previously as the outlet's editor-in-chief beginning September 2002. She was also the publishing director of PRWeek's sister title, DMNews, from March 2007 to July 2010.

“I'm delighted to have Julia rejoin Haymarket Media,” said Lee Maniscalco, CEO of Haymarket. “Her industry knowledge, familiarity with and passion for the brands, and tireless work ethic are unparalleled, and she will surely enhance their growth. I personally look forward to working with her.”
