This holiday season, APCO Worldwide's Washington, DC, office partnered with Safe Shores, a local nonprofit that provides a warm and welcoming place for children and adolescents who are victims of child abuse. Each department within APCO has adopted a child and will provide him or her with holiday gifts such as books, toys, and warm clothes. Through the APCO Gives Back program, APCO employees will provide holiday cheer to 10 children in the Washington area.

APCO Gives Back was created to empower employees to contribute to their communities through volunteerism with support from APCO – in the form of both time and financial resources.

The program's four components are group volunteerism; individual volunteerism and charity matching; pro-bono work; and humanitarian emergency and disaster response. In addition, APCO also has an active Green Committee, which has created exciting opportunities to give back to our community and our environment. The firm is also an official participant in the UN Global Compact, the world's largest corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative.
