Omnicom names Adams DAS unit CEO

NEW YORK: Omnicom Group has named Dale Adams CEO of its Diversified Agency Services unit, which contains agencies Ketchum, Fleishman-Hillard, Cone, Porter Novelli, and the recently acquired Marina Maher Communications.

NEW YORK: Omnicom Group has named Dale Adams CEO of its Diversified Agency Services unit, which contains agencies Ketchum, Fleishman-Hillard, Cone, Porter Novelli, and the recently acquired Marina Maher Communications.

Adams joined Omnicom in 1991 and has served as DAS' president since 2008. He has replaced Thomas Harrison, who will continue as the unit's chairman.

Last month, Omnicom acquired Marina Maher Communications, which specializes in PR targeting women, and added the shop to its roster of agencies within DAS. Omnicom also owns and operates Clark & Weinstock, Kreab Gavin Anderson, and Mercury Public Affairs, among other agencies.

Omnicom posted a 9.7% year-over-year increase in global PR revenue to $307.1 million in the third quarter. PR revenue grew 4.2% organically in the period.  

A representative for Omnicom Group was not immediately available for comment.
