PHILADELPHIA: FMC Corp. recently named Kenneth Gedaka its VP of corporate communications, shifting the reporting line for communications at the $3.1 billion chemical company. Gedaka, who joined in September from Dow Chemical, takes over for Kenneth Garrett who was leading the communications function in a dual role as EVP of HR. Garrett remains with the company in charge of HR, while Gedaka now reports to Pierre Brondeau, FMC president, CEO, and chairman.

Gedaka most recently was public affairs director for the Advanced Materials division of Dow Chemical. Prior to Dow, he worked in communications with the Rohm and Hass Company.
