Fleishman-Hillard hires Shanghai GM

BEIJING: Fleishman-Hillard has brought in a SVP from its Hong Kong office to run its Shanghai office.

BEIJING: Fleishman-Hillard has brought in a SVP from its Hong Kong office to run its Shanghai office.

The firm, which opened its Shanghai office in 1997, has appointed Faith Brewitt general manager of the office, effective March 1.

Brewitt will be responsible for business development and overall management, reporting to Li Hong, the managing director of Fleishman-Hillard China. 

John Graham, Fleishman-Hillard chairman and CEO, said in a statement, that east China is a lynchpin for the agency's growth in Asia. 

"I know Faith will build on the strong leadership that Li Hong has already demonstrated, and ensure that we are well positioned to seize the many growth opportunities that east China holds for us."

Before joining Fleishman-Hillard, Brewitt was director of operations for Dow Jones China, and opened that company's Shanghai office.  She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and earned her master's degree at Beijing Normal University.
