WPP posts Q1 results

LONDON: WPP today announced that revenue from its PR and public affairs offerings increased 20% to $250.4 million in the first quarter of 2006, compared with the same period last year, according to an earnings statement.

LONDON: WPP today announced that revenue from its PR and public affairs offerings increased 20% to $250.4 million in the first quarter of 2006, compared with the same period last year, according to an earnings statement.

PR and public affairs represented 10% of total revenue, compared to 11% in 2005. The holding company also reported that its overall revenue rose by more than 23% to $2.45 billion. North America represented the slowest growing region at 17%, compared to 26% growth in Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, and 19% in continental Europe.
