DKC lands b-to-b comms account for Michael Eisner

NEW YORK: Dan Klores Communications has nabbed the task of handling b-to-b communications for ex-Disney CEO Michael Eisner.

NEW YORK: Dan Klores Communications has nabbed the task of handling b-to-b communications for ex-Disney CEO Michael Eisner.

DKC president Sean Cassidy said the firm came to Eisner's attention during its previous work for Team Baby Entertainment, a company that produces licensed, sports-themed baby products. Eisner acquired a majority interest in that company, which in turn led to him forming his own relationship with the firm.

DKC's work with Eisner has been ongoing for about a month, said Cassidy. He described its scope as "all of his b-to-b ventures," but noted that PR for Eisner's TV show "is being handled by CNBC and will remain so."

Eisner, who ran Disney for more than 20 years before leaving the media giant last year, is now the head of The Tornante Co., his own private investment venture. Cassidy said that Eisner "does have pending deals," but that he could not discuss them yet.

DKC will handle the account out of New York, but its scope will be national, and it will have a "significant focus" on LA-based entertainment media, Cassidy said. EVP Jeff Klein and SVP Robert Zimmerman will lead the account.

Eisner did not have an outgoing agency, Cassidy said.
