StrategyOne hires Evans

NEW YORK: Laurence Evans has been named president of StrategyOne, Edelman's full-service research firm. He previously was SVP at Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates, where his clients included KPMG, Shell, Nokia, Hewlett-Packard, Aramark, Alcoa, and Pitney Bowes.

NEW YORK: Laurence Evans has been named president of StrategyOne, Edelman's full-service research firm. He previously was SVP at Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates, where his clients included KPMG, Shell, Nokia, Hewlett-Packard, Aramark, Alcoa, and Pitney Bowes.

In his new role, Evans will be responsible for growing StrategyOne's business and continuing to refine its research capabilities. The unit conducts global research with a staff of 20 based in Chicago, Washington, DC, New York, and London. StrategyOne had billings of $3.5 million during the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2006.

Evans will be based in New York and report to Neal Flieger, GM of Edelman's Public Affairs practice. He succeeds Dr. Jennifer Scott, who left the firm earlier this year.
