NEW YORK: Four Omnicom Group-owned ad agencies have come to an agreement with the New York City Human Rights Commission to set goals for hiring minorities, according to Ad Age.

The agencies join 11 others from Interpublic Group, WPP, and Publicis Groupe that signed similar agreements earlier this month.

Omnicom has already formed an agreement with NYC councilmember Larry Seabrook, chair of the Civil Rights Committee of the NYC Council, to create the Diversity Development Advisory Committee. It will comprise Omnicom executives and HR personnel, as well as members appointed by the Civil Rights Committee. The first initiative will be to establish an advertising, marketing skills, and media industry readiness curriculum at Medgar Evers College
